In order to tell you why I love doing what I do, I have to make a confession. I have a horrible memory. I never know if I actually remember events or if I just remember them because I have seen photographs of them. Fortunately, I have always carried a camera everywhere, taking pictures of everything (much to the annoyance of many of my friends and family) so I can look back at the photographs and always remember!
Documenting every moment is the root of my style. I want you to be able to remember everything & everyone as they are at that time in their life. Even if it means a baby is constantly making spit bubbles, or holds his fingers in his mouth, it isn't an imperfection, it is a memory of that time in their life. If a five year old is as crazy as can be, let's not force him to sit up straight and tilt his head to the camera, let's remember who he is.
I love working inside the studio and with nature as the backdrop. I love new babies, kids of all ages, seniors, families & weddings. I take pride in keeping my work modern and fresh by going to photography workshops and seminars throughout the year.

First of all, I just want to say THANK YOU to all of my clients, friends & family for helping me create my business in Eagle Lake. I LOVE what I do & wouldn’t have been able to do it without any of you. I’m so happy that I have been able to capture so many memories for you all & hope to continue to do so in the future!
We are moving from the Mankato area up to the Twin Cities (Minnetonka) I’m super excited about my new studio – it should be (if all goes as planned) up and running by next spring! I will miss this area so much, but we’re excited to have our family life back as my husband has been commuting to the Cities since the end of last year. I’m not sure what we will do with him home for an extra 3 hours a day!! We will also be closer to our extended families, so I look forward to spending more time with them as well.

There must be something in the water lately – I have had quite a few maternity sessions lately. I think they are so great to document how beautiful everyone is with their little basketballs. I swear, I was never this pretty when I was pregnant!!

We took some more traditional portraits (as traditional as I get anyways) down at Sibley Park, but the favorites of the day were on the old couch we threw in the weeds – what a gorgeous family!!
I honestly thought Mom was one of the siblings when I first saw her – she looks so young – too young to have 4 adult children! What’s the secret???
This little girl was ALL smiles from the minute she arrived in the studio – pretty much until she left! LOVE LOVE LOVE it when that happens!! You have a beautiful family – must run in that Le Center blood!
This family is AMAZING! Just imagine… they put their house on the market, sold it in about a week, had a BEAUTIFUL BABY BOY & now living in temporary housing until they move to France! They are part of an organization called “Campus Crusade for Christ” - their mission is to help people grow in their relationship with God.
I have posted this little guy’s newborn, 3 month and 6 month sessions on my blog, so you’ll probably recognize him with his amazing curls!! Love him! I can’t wait for his 1 year session… we’re going to have SO MUCH FUN playing outside!
This is one of my favorite maternity sessions I have photographed! The Mama is so beautiful – their backyard photographed amazing & I love the tattoos!! I can’t wait to meet the little guy!!

I just love photographing this little girl – she is SO DANG CUTE! This session was SO MUCH FUN she had way more smiles than EVER before! Here are a couple of my favorites from the session, along with a short little video.
After being married for 50 years, this couple was still smiling, laughing & holding hands. I had the great privilege to photograph them & their family at the farm in Elysian where they raised all their children. It was a beautiful day - the sun was shining, the wind was blowing and they were surrounded by the love of their six children & their families. Congratulations & I wish your family a lifetime of happiness!
