In order to tell you why I love doing what I do, I have to make a confession. I have a horrible memory. I never know if I actually remember events or if I just remember them because I have seen photographs of them. Fortunately, I have always carried a camera everywhere, taking pictures of everything (much to the annoyance of many of my friends and family) so I can look back at the photographs and always remember!
Documenting every moment is the root of my style. I want you to be able to remember everything & everyone as they are at that time in their life. Even if it means a baby is constantly making spit bubbles, or holds his fingers in his mouth, it isn't an imperfection, it is a memory of that time in their life. If a five year old is as crazy as can be, let's not force him to sit up straight and tilt his head to the camera, let's remember who he is.
I love working inside the studio and with nature as the backdrop. I love new babies, kids of all ages, seniors, families & weddings. I take pride in keeping my work modern and fresh by going to photography workshops and seminars throughout the year.

I LOVE watching (and photographing, of course) the first taste of cake for a 1-year old. You never know what to expect… most are pretty tentative about tasting it, but once they do, they dig in. This little boy cried. Eventually he got into it & I think even enjoyed some of it. ...
When I heard what this little 9-month old visitor from Le Center was going to be wearing, I thought we better take him out to the train tracks near by… SO CUTE! Thanks to his Grandpa for letting him borrow his train set!
I had the opportunity to photograph this newborn baby in the Twin Cities when she was just 6 days old! You could just feel the love this couple shared & the love they had for their new baby!! Congratulations you two!
I have had the privilege to photograph both of these 3 month old babies since they were in their Mommy’s belly – I love watching them grow! At three months, they are just finding their hands and tend to have them in their month CONSTANTLY. I love it!!
