In order to tell you why I love doing what I do, I have to make a confession. I have a horrible memory. I never know if I actually remember events or if I just remember them because I have seen photographs of them. Fortunately, I have always carried a camera everywhere, taking pictures of everything (much to the annoyance of many of my friends and family) so I can look back at the photographs and always remember!
Documenting every moment is the root of my style. I want you to be able to remember everything & everyone as they are at that time in their life. Even if it means a baby is constantly making spit bubbles, or holds his fingers in his mouth, it isn't an imperfection, it is a memory of that time in their life. If a five year old is as crazy as can be, let's not force him to sit up straight and tilt his head to the camera, let's remember who he is.
I love working inside the studio and with nature as the backdrop. I love new babies, kids of all ages, seniors, families & weddings. I take pride in keeping my work modern and fresh by going to photography workshops and seminars throughout the year.

This little baby came all the way from Rochester for her first photo shoot at about 3 weeks old. She really wanted nothing to do with taking photos… she just wanted to be held by her mommy and even when we thought she was sleeping, the second mommy set her down she was wide awake...
This family is just so darn cute – last time I saw the little guy he barely had any hair and now it’s super curly, SO cute! And the little girl just keeps getting more and more beautiful… she cracks me up every time I see her – she’s such a goofball, but man, she’s going...

and now she’s already six MONTHS old! She was SOOOO good – we played with some more hats on her this time around too – she’s just so adorable! I can’t wait...
I was warned about my neighbor not smiling for pictures – so I was prepared to get him to smile… little did I know, he got his (lack-of) smiling for portraits from his Dad. I guess the family gene wore off on the brother-in-law too because I swear all three men were trying their hardest...
I can’t believe he is a senior!! This is my little cousin, okay, not so little – he’s taller than I am now. He is an AMAZING musician (always has been!), so we took a lot of images with his favorite guitar. We had a fun afternoon running around town for his senior portraits.

I’m a little behind on the blog again… here are two cute kids that I had the opportunity to photograph a couple weeks ago! The only way we could get the little guy to smile was to just let him climb! Mom doing jumping jacks behind me also got a couple giggles!!
