Welcome to my Blog!

In order to tell you why I love doing what I do, I have to make a confession. I have a horrible memory. I never know if I actually remember events or if I just remember them because I have seen photographs of them. Fortunately, I have always carried a camera everywhere, taking pictures of everything (much to the annoyance of many of my friends and family) so I can look back at the photographs and always remember!

Documenting every moment is the root of my style. I want you to be able to remember everything & everyone as they are at that time in their life.  Even if it means a baby is constantly making spit bubbles, or holds his fingers in his mouth, it isn't an imperfection, it is a memory of that time in their life. If a five year old is as crazy as can be, let's not force him to sit up straight and tilt his head to the camera, let's remember who he is.

I love working inside the studio and with nature as the backdrop. I love new babies, kids of all ages, seniors, families & weddings. I take pride in keeping my work modern and fresh by going to photography workshops and seminars throughout the year.

I look forward to meeting you and creating photographs so you are able to always remember the special moments in your life.

GOOD THUNDER BABY

This little guy is just four days old!  I have photographed his big brother a couple times.  Dad thought he should bring a raincoat for this session after the stream that hit him in his other son’s newborn session!  LOL!   It turns out he SHOULD have… only this time he got #2 all over.. again… and again!   Next time… rain coats and galoshes all around!! :)

It was quite the eventful session.  We even ended up calling the nurse line during this session – baby’s cord got caught on something and it came off & didn’t look like it was ready to come off yet, so we called the Dr. to find out what to do?!   Luckily everything is okay and they just need to put some alcohol on it to help it dry up faster…  whew!
